Whenever I see cauliflower, it reminds me of when I was travelling with my cousin in pre-democratic Estonia. Someone was selling cauliflower on a dusty grey street corner. My cousin stopped mid-sentence and raced for the wheelbarrow full of cauliflower. I realized that many other people were doing the same thing. He bought two and we carried them around with us all day. He said "you never know when you'll find the next thing to eat."

I have never bought what they call 'brocoflower'... Does it taste different from the usual white one?

Love the photo of the trees in front of the "low and moody sky." It's good you took a break and got out of the city.
